On 30 January 2012 the Board of Directors of Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate SICAV (the “SICAV”) resolved to increase the capital of the SICAV’s subfund Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate SICAV - Swiss by CHF 100 million from the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Christophe de Backer will be joining the Edmond de Rothschild Group on February 1, 2012, initially as Chairman of the Executive Committee of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva. His appointment was approved by the Board of Directors of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild at a meeting held in Geneva on January 10, 2012.

The 12th annual Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad festival, sponsored since its inception by Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild, will be held from 27 January to 4 February 2012. This year will give pride of place to renowned violonists such as Vadim Repin, Antje Weithaas, Jana Kuss and Alexandra Soumm.

This year ultimate victory just slipped from the grasp of the crew of Edmond de Rothschild Group. However, Pierre Pennec and his three crew certainly don’t have anything to be ashamed about in their very fine second place given the fantastic line-up that made up the fleet for this year’s Extreme Sailing Series and the intensity of this 2011 season.
