The speakers were Alexandre Col, head of the Investment Fund Dept and a member of our Bank's Executive Committee, on the aims of alternative management, and François Rayroux, a partner of the law firm Lenz & Staehelin, on AIFM regulation in the EU.
These topics, which also raised the question as to whose interest the regulation of hedge fund management will serve most, drew numerous questions from the audience. Messrs Col and Rayroux were delighted to answer with conviction.
